A short history of Quartet
- 1998 - Formation of Quartet by Trevor & Sylvia as a result of their inability to source reliable cost effective packing solutions for a client
- 1999 - Quartet take on 4000 sq ft. premises in Southend on Sea to provide bespoke contract packing for this client
- 2000 - Nick joins Quartet and provides structure & administration as we are now providing a service to many of the top Greetings card publishers & printers
- 2003 - After steady & sustained growth, Quartet starts to feel under pressure from Far East & Eastern Europe competition and decides to relocate to accommodate its core customers who are based in the Midlands and North of England
- 2004 - Quartet move into their current premises in Barnsley and start to establish themselves in the area
- 2007 - With the move well and truly behind us we are now operating at nearly double the capacity we had in Southend on sea. The profile of the business has now changed from heavily seasonal to more streamlined everyday products
